Team Alberta Wins Bronze!!
Team Alberta finished the 2010 Canada Cup with a 6-0 win in the Bronze medal game against Quebec. The under 17 Championship was held in Kindersley, SK from August 11th - 15th. Team Alberta was led in the Bronze medal game by pitcher Jake Hansen who threw 4.2 innings of 1 hit ball for the win. Alberta finished the touranment with a sparkling 6-1 record and missed out on a chance at Gold after a tough 3-2 loss to Ontario in extra innings.
Cory Scammell led Team Alberta with a .471 batting average over the tournament and was named as the tournaments top hitter, while Jordan Proceshyn was named as the tournaments top catcher.
Team Alberta also had 5 players invited to the Junior National Team camp in Orlando, FL in October: Cory Scammell, Jordan Proceshyn, Brendan Hendricks, Logan Seifrit, and Ethan Elias
